Miranda Brown is a leading New Zealand fashion designer mastering edgy, hand-built textiles that express originality, timelessness, beauty, innovation, style and sustainability through the brand Miranda Brown – Conscious Cloth (MBCC).

Miranda Brown’s work is admired for its reflection of nature through her dynamic design and hand-dyed textiles rich in colour and pattern. The use of premium New Zealand fabrics and infusing them with motifs which express the strength and beauty of the natural world make this brand unique. MBCC product is sold through 25 retail stores throughout New Zealand and Australia.

The integrity of MBCC is in sustainable design with a focus on merino wool (up to 70% of MBCC brand is made from merino wool sourced in NZ), organic cottons and natural fibres. Collected by Te Papa, Miranda Brown is recognized for her creative innovation of New Zealand wool.

Miranda Brown is considered a trail blazer in the field of sustainable design, which is reflected throughout the business. As a member of the Sustainable Business Network, she has completed their green challenge.

While stocked in stores throughout NZ, from 1 April 2010 the Miranda Brown e-commerce site will be launched to enable purchasing from anywhere in the world.
