Welcome to Cranko Architects. We are an NZIA Practice based in Wellington, offering expertise in residential, educational and commercial buildings. We provide creative, professional, and unique design solutions with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the re-use of historic buildings from the 1800's to the 1970's. We have won various awards for our sustainable building work.

Cranko Architects’ work responds to the unique characteristics of each project. We emphasise good internal flow and relationships within buildings, indoor-outdoor living opportunities, light and views. We respect the integrity of existing structures and enjoy the challenge of integrating new facilities within & alongside them. Design is a collaborative process with the client to respond to feelings, needs, wants and budget. We work without the constraint of a ‘practice design style’ in designing liveable bespoke solutions for clients.
