Having trouble lighting your wood burner? Is smoke billowing into the room? Does smoke billow from your chimney longer than 5 minutes after lighting?
Approved wood burner or not. Winter conditions still cause back pressure at the top of the flue.
Until the flue is heated throughout a fire will not burn cleanly or efficiently. After using lots of fuel the flue will become less obstructed by cooler temperatures but how long will it take? By the time the fire starts working properly the neighbourhood is already blanketed with smoke.
Various cowl designs try and stop wind and weather affecting the fire but don't fix the real problem. The problem quite simply is cold air and a Nelson electrical engineer and inventor has developed the FlueCube to sort it out.
The FlueCube cowl is clever by drawing in the cool air naturally. Heat travels up the flue and is fanned outward to mix with the cooler air. This allows for a miniature cyclone to spin around the sides of the chamber leaving its eye above the flue and the heat to travel up without any obstruction.
The result is a fire that is easy to light, smoke is going up the chimney - not in your lounge, the fire reaches its optimum heat faster and burns cleaner - using less wood.
As well as making your home heating environment healthier, you'll be leaving the outside environment cleaner too.
