The Mudcastle is a private function venue with boutique accommodation that we have built ourselves from the clay beneath us. With passive solar design, mud brick floor, solar hot water and a commitment to recycling, minimal wastage, use of local suppliers and accent on fresh food, membership of the SBN, Nelson Tasman Sustainability Charter and The Nelson Wellness Cluster Inc. connects us with like minded businesses who care about the wellbeing of their guests and the future of our beautiful environment.
