Suite

Suite Bar, located in the Auckland CBD on the corner of Hobson & Wolfe St, is a subterranean Manhattan style cocktail and lounge bar.

Suite was the most awarded bar at 2008 NZ Bar Awards taking out Best Bar Team, Best Drinks List, Best Bartender in NZ and Best Operator. Suite also won Best Bar in Auckland at the 2008 Lewisham Awards.

The bar showcases organic beers and wine from sustainable vineyards, and when seeking out ingredients: opt for seasonal and organic food where possible.


The bar owners and staff aim to influence sustainable practice in the hospitality industry through our relationships with suppliers and customers. We also aim to make a positive social contribution through initiatives such as volunteering our time at hospitality training institutes and supporting our staff in joining gyms and running half-marathons.

We won the 2008 Judges Commendation for Small to Medium Size Emerging Business at Northern Sustainable Business Awards

The Judge's comments were:
· Suite Bar has put in place a number of measures to reduce their footprint and are commended for their efforts to provide leadership in an industry that faces significant challenges
· Their success could contribute to influencing others, and to help ‘mainstream' sustainable best practice within the hospitality industry.
